Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases of Semantic Modeler subscriptions made through semanticmodeler.com, operated by Fact Foundry LLC ("Fact Foundry", "we", "us", or "our").

1. All Sales Are Final

All subscription purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for any subscription payments, including but not limited to:

Monthly subscription charges
Annual subscription charges
Upgrade purchases
Renewal charges

2. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the self-service portal at factfoundry.io.

Upon cancellation:

Your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing period
You will retain full access to Semantic Modeler until the end of the current billing period
No partial refunds are issued for unused time remaining in the billing period

3. Free Trial

Semantic Modeler offers a free 30-day trial with no payment information required. We encourage all users to evaluate the software thoroughly during the trial period before purchasing a subscription.

The availability of a free trial period is a primary reason we maintain a no-refund policy on paid subscriptions.

4. Exceptions

We may issue refunds at our sole discretion in the following limited circumstances:

Duplicate charges caused by a billing error
Charges made after a confirmed cancellation
Where required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction

5. Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment disputes and chargebacks in accordance with their own policies. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your payment provider.

6. Domain Claim and License Absorption

When an organization claims and verifies a domain, personal licenses associated with that domain are absorbed into the organization's commercial account. In these cases, the remaining value of absorbed personal licenses is applied as a billing credit to the organization's commercial account via Paddle. This credit is not issued as a cash refund.
